Do Something Unusual this Summertime
Now is the time for many to start thinking about where to go on break…or perhaps in the present financial market it should be do I even go on holiday. If saving money is a consideration; then somewhere local might be a good idea. Within the UK there is much to visit, if not the greatest traditional holiday resorts. These exist but you certainly can’t expect any sunweather. But what about a holiday in the Scottish hills or going to the amazing lake District? No need to get travel money if you’re not going too far. Or you could just hop across the channel to France on the ferry.
So if you decide not to go on an overseas vacation, what is there to do this Summer? Well if the intention is to spend as little cash as possible, you could do worse than to visit some relatives or friends you have not stayed with for yonks. As long as they have spare rooms you don’t have to spend on a hotel and you can get your meals homemade and not have to pay restaurant prices. Or you can think of new interests whilst you’re in your sitting room. Rather than just rent dvds online , you might take up a new interest, possibly exercise more such as take cycling seriously. You might take up knitting – do those things you’ve always wanted to do but left behind.
Browsing theinterweb is always a great way to pass time but also to learn about fresh topics. You have the largest knowledge base at your keyboard – just let your curiosity wander and discover some of the hiddengems on Wikipedia. There are a seeminglyinnumerable number of weblogs out there; and about all kinds of interests. Some are just an explorative diary of somebody’s life or for the more serious type there are blogs with business news which are in some cases speedier than the mainstream press and will certainly offer you a different perspective. So go on spend a bit of time online – maybe put together your own blogsphere!
